Scope With Me
Keith Vincent
Like a lot of things, scoping is more effectively taught hands on. In this presentation, Keith will distribute a short transcript from one of his jobs, unedited, mistakes and all, so that you can join him in using Eclipse for efficient editing. You'll be able to install this file in a separate user folder so that it does not risk interfering with your real settings and your real work. Of course, Hyperkeys and AutoMagic are enormous assets, but many others Eclipse features will come up as well. After the class, you'll be able to re-edit the file while working with the VirtuCon recording, if you wish. As they say, "Practice makes perfect."
Finish with The Eclipse Proofreader
Keith Vincent
Eclipse proofreading tools range from the familiar spelling checker to the less familiar List Errors to the Automated Proofreader (introduced in Version 9). You can also export transcripts to BridgeMobile or to a PDF file, make proofreading annotations, and import the notes/marks to your Eclipse document for making final corrections. Keith will look at each of these features to varying degrees of depth, with the most time given to explaining how to use/customize the Automated Proofreader so that even during realtime transcription, you can catch potential problems that are NOT spelling errors and deliver a more perfect transcript.
